This is a story of just a regular rainy day with 2 lovebirds sending presents to each other using an animated doll. Coincidentally, did you know doll magic is weak against time, rain, and bullets? 


This is a 2D platformer game made for the Touhou Game Jam 6.  You play as Shanghai who has to deliver presents between Alice and Marisa. 

You will be running around from one end of the map to the other while dodging rain and bullets.  You can collect stars to increase your combo which can upgrade your present tiers, the higher the combo you have the more present value you get and score multiplier. But be careful, the scores are only accumulated once you delivered the present. So you will have to make the decision of either keep increasing the combo or just deliver your present with your current combo just to be safe as things gets spicier.

Also, your doll magic will not last, gaining combo refreshes that, but be quick! :)


  • WASD to move
  • Space to jump
  • LMB to dash
  • RMB to perform a ground pound


  • Your goal is to deliver the present from one side of the map to the other side
  • gaining stars increases your combo until you hit max combo which will increase your score gain, but score is only accumulated until you delivered the present. 
  • you will gain a shield whenever you increased your combo, shields and protect you from taking a hit while clears all bullets and rain drops on screen when it breaks.
  • getting hit by a bullet, raindrop or enemy will be killed and sent back to the present sender. this will also reset your combo.
  • your dash has a cooldown but it and ground pound makes you invincible to bullets and raindrops.
  • you can kill enemies by dashing, stomping or ground pounding into them
  • difficulty scales over time, you have 180 to gain as much score as you can, see if you can go for that HIGHSCORE while risking yourself in the rain (haha, get it? risk of rain :) )

Recommended strategy:

  • You want to be considerate with your dahs, only use it at the right situation and time it well. Don't just "spam dash to speedrun Hollow Knight"
  • You can use your shieldto your advantage by getting yourself out of a spicy situation. just intentionally get this and the shield will destroy all on screen bullets to create a breathing room. do note that this means you lose your shield.
  • When things get harder, you want to be more strategic with your movement.
  • know when to keep ranking up combos and when to submit the present. sometimes it is better to go with your current combo.
  • once you reached max combo, I recommend  just deliver the present and gat your scores, that happens when you obtained the iconic plushie
  • the game is hard, so don't worry about constantly failing. you will get better when you start to get used to it
  • have fun :)

Currently known issues:

  • it is quite polish but I would say not enough, we need MOAR!!!
  • lacking of a main menu track
  • the UI looks terrible. 
  • certain information of the game is not shown in the main menu
  • certain information like destination direction and current mana left is not clear.
  • Win32 build may be bugged, whatever you do, DO NOT INCREASE THE COMBO AFTER 4.
  • the last few moments may be a bit too hard.
  • there is no indicator for the dash cooldown.
  • you can get stuck inside certain terrain if you dash into them
  • stars do not spawn back once you replay the game
